In commemoration of his birth centenary, a tribute was rendered to EMS Namboodiripad –the first Chief Minister of Kerala, and the chief architect of modern Kerala- by organising a one-day seminar on “Kerala: Towards a New Horizon” on 21 February 2009 in New Delhi. Having deliberated upon Kerala’s past and present in the seminar; efforts were made to look up the paradigm for future Kerala. Shri Prakash Karat, inaugurated the seminar, and Dr.K.N.Panikar summed up the whole deliberations. Dr.Sunil.P.Elayidom, Dr.K.N.Ganesh, Dr.Jayati Ghosh, Prof.Sachidanandan, Smt.Brinda Karat and Dr.C.P.Chandrasekhar spoke on different topics.
